ASMP DR Backup
A private disaster-recovery tool that keeps encrypted, off-site backups of one business system in its owner's own Google Drive.
What it does
- Creates scheduled backups of the operator's own business system on the operator's own computer.
- Encrypts every backup on that computer before anything is uploaded.
- Stores the encrypted backup files in the operator's own Google Drive.
- Reads those files back to verify their integrity and to restore data after a hardware failure or loss.
Limited Google Drive access
The app requests only Google's drive.file permission. It can see and manage only the
files it creates itself. It cannot see, open or change any other file in Google Drive.
Encrypted before upload
Backup data is encrypted and authenticated on the operator's computer. The encryption keys are never sent to Google, and the files in Google Drive cannot be read without them.
No third parties
There is no server operated by the app, no analytics, no advertising and no sharing of data. Data moves only between the operator's computer and the operator's Google Drive.
Owner in control
The account owner can delete the backup files at any time and can revoke the app's access in their Google Account settings. The app never deletes backups automatically.
