Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data ASMP DR Backup (“the app”) accesses, how that data is used, stored and protected, and how the account owner stays in control of it.
1. Who uses the app
The app is a private disaster-recovery tool used only by its operator, Rawque Analytics, to back up its own business data. It is not offered to the public, has no other users and offers no sign-up. The only Google account it connects to is the operator's own.
2. Google user data the app accesses
The app requests a single Google permission:
- Google Drive —
drive.file: “See, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app.”
With this permission the app can access only the files and folders it has created itself. It cannot list, open, read, change or delete any other file in the Google Drive account. The app does not request access to Gmail, contacts, calendar, photos or any other Google service, and it does not request the account's profile or email address.
3. How the data is used
The app uses its Google Drive access solely to:
- upload encrypted backup files to the owner's Google Drive;
- list and read those same files to check their integrity; and
- download them to restore the owner's data.
Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or to develop, improve or train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and it is never sold.
4. Sharing
The app does not share, transfer or disclose Google user data to anyone. There is no server operated by the app: data moves only between the operator's own computer and the operator's own Google Drive.
5. Encryption and security
- Backup data is encrypted and authenticated on the operator's computer before it is uploaded, using AES-256-based authenticated encryption. Google Drive receives only encrypted files.
- The encryption password is never sent to Google or to anyone else. Without it, the stored files cannot be read.
- The Google authorization token is kept only on the operator's computer, inside an encrypted configuration file; related secrets are held in the operating system's protected credential store.
- All communication with Google uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
6. Storage and retention
Backup files are stored in the owner's own Google Drive and remain there until the owner deletes them. The app never deletes backups automatically; any removal of old backups is a deliberate action by the owner. Small temporary coordination files that the app creates and removes may be kept in the Google Drive trash under Google's normal trash rules. The app keeps no copy of Google user data anywhere else.
7. The owner's control
- Delete data: the owner can delete the app's files at any time directly in Google Drive.
- Revoke access: the owner can remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections. After revocation the app can no longer access any Google Drive file. Files already stored remain in Google Drive until the owner deletes them.
8. Google API Services User Data Policy
ASMP DR Backup's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Children
The app is a private business tool and is not directed at children.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
